Influencia de dos marcas comerciales de barniz fluorado sobre la fuerza de adhesión de brackets metálicos cementados en esmalte humano, estudio in vitro
Abstract
La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo comparar la influencia de dos marcas comerciales de barniz fluorado sobre la fuerza de adhesión de brackets metálicos cementadas en esmalte humano, un estudio in vitro. El diseño del estudio fue experimental, prospectivo y analítico, el cual se llevó a cabo en una población de piezas dentarias sanas extraídas por motivos ortodónticos, en una muestra total de 30 piezas dentarias. Se aplicó flúor barniz de dos tipos de marca, Clinpro de 3M y MI Varnish de GC y un grupo control al cual no se aplicó nada. Luego se cementaron brackets metálicos en dichas piezas dentarias y se evaluó la fuerza de adhesión mediante cizallamiento, utilizando una máquina de ensayos universales y obtuvimos valores en Megapascales (MPa). Se utilizó como prueba estadística Anova. Los resultados indicaron que, MI Varnish obtuvo una fuerza de adhesión de 6.15 MPa, Clinpro obtuvo 8.27 MPa y el grupo control obtuvo 13.97 MPa. Si hubo diferencia significativa entre los grupos de estudio. En conclusión, el flúor barniz Clinpro de 3M, presentó mayor fuerza de adhesión que MI Varnish de GC en brackets metálicos cementados en esmalte humano.
