Capacidad antioxidante y contenido de polifenoles en las hojas de senecio canescens (wira wira)
Abstract
Este presente estudio de investigación es de diseño no experimental y descriptivo tuvo como objetivo determinar la capacidad antioxidante y contenido de polifenoles de las hojas de Senecio canescens (wira wira). Para el presente trabajo se utilizó las hojas de Senecio canescens (wira wira) de las zonas alto andinas de Unchus entre 3038 y 4000 m.s.n.m. del departamento de Ancash provincia de Huaraz. El estudio fue realizado en el laboratorio de la Universidad ULADECH, para la extracción se utilizó 0,25g la muestra seca y triturada. Pará determinación de la capacidad antioxidante se utilizó el método del radical DPPH, mientras que para la determinación de fenoles totales se utilizó el método de Folin – Ciocalteu. En los resultados obtenidos sobre el análisis del contenido de polifenoles totales de hojas dio como resultado un 15.74 ± 0.96 mg equivalente en catequina/g de muestra seca, mientras que en la determinación de la capacidad antioxidante de las hojas de Senecio canescens (wira wira) fue de 69.39 ± 3.69 mM de Trolox /g de muestra seca; por ello se concluye que el extracto metanólico de las hojas de Senecio canescens, (wira wira) posee capacidad antioxidante y contenido de polifenoles, considerándola una especie de alto interés.
