Autoestima y depresión en adultos mayores de una Institución de Salud –Trujillo, 2017
Abstract
El presente trabajo de investigación de tipo descriptivo correlacional, de nivel cuantitativo, con diseño no experimental y de corte transversal, se realizó con el propósito de determinar la relación de autoestima y depresión en el adulto mayor de una institución de salud –Trujillo, 2017. La muestra estuvo conformada por 132 adultos mayores de ambos sexos. Asimismo para la recolección de datos se aplicaron dos instrumentos el test de Autoestima –25 adaptada por César Ruiz Alva (2006) y el Inventario de Depresión de Beck. Los resultados demuestran que existe relación significativa entre las variables estudiadas. Para obtener los resultados, se utilizó la prueba estadística de Correlación de Pearson. Identificando correlación significativa negativa (p<0.01), de grado moderado de Autoestima y Depresión, concluyendo que a mayor autoestima menor depresión.
